14th February, 2000.

Dear All,

Welcome to the Year 2000 and I hope all your Y2K problems were as non-existent as mine.

Minutes

The minutes of the first National Executive meeting this year are attached and provide an indication of the activities scheduled. Should you happen to be in Melbourne on any of the meeting or function dates shown we would be delighted to have you come along. If in Melbourne at any other time we would still like to catch up with you.

Scheyvillian

Please note the deadline of 31st March for the first edition of the Scheyvillian this year. Your support is greatly appreciated and it would be a fitting welcome for Alan Storen if we could all contribute in a timely manner to help him produce his first edition.

Website

We have an operating website thanks to Gary Vial. It is informative, easy to use, and a great start. Thanks to Gary for his efforts. Have a look at it, the address is www.ctmc.com.au/otuhome.html

Membership Rebates and Youth Leadership

We are pleased that the distribution has been completed. We would appreciate any comments or suggestions in this area.

Membership Directory

The new directory is about to be printed. A diskette version will also be available for those who prefer. Peter Whitelaw is still interested in any feedback on the current lists that he sent out to the State Chapters.

T-Shirts and other Knick Knacks

Wayne is looking into adding T-shirts, polo shirts and cufflinks to the Q store. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Scheyville Foundation

Peter Whitelaw has circulated a paper to the National Committee. An abridged version will appear in the next Scheyvillian, however you can expect a copy before then for your consideration.

I would also appreciate any feedback at all on these letters which are designed to keep you all informed rather than just sending you minutes of meetings. Feel free at any time to give me a call. Disagree with something, make a suggestion, whatever. I'm just interested whether anyone reads this.

Have a great year, look for a new member, have some terrific functions and if you know of anyone in FNQ, or NT who could get a Chapter up and running let me know.

Regards,

Brian Cooper

NATIONAL CHAIRMAN.
